Mainly mountains - Wales

Here are some pictures from a walk to the top of Snowdon (1085 metres), via the Rhyd Ddu route, which starts at SH572526. The start point is 191 metres above sea level, which is lower than the start points of some other Snowdon routes, so you get more mountain for your money. The start point can be accessed via the Welsh Highland Railway or bus, and there's also a car-park there. A round trip would typically take 5 hours. This route is a bit less crowded than some of the others, and includes an excellent ridge walk section along Bwlch Main at SH605537.
